Welcome to
Fairmont Chateau Whistler.

It all begins here.

Since opening its doors in 1989, Fairmont Chateau Whistler has become a second home to travellers from around the globe. Home to 519 alpine-inspired guest rooms, a newly-reimagined Fairmont Gold floor, expansive conference and event space, a renowned food and beverage program and true mountain golf resort, Fairmont Chateau Whistler has quickly become Whistler’s landmark ski-in ski-out destination at the base of Blackcomb Mountain.

Surrounded by stunning mountain vistas, scenic alpine lakes and a close-knit mountain community, Fairmont Chateau Whistler is the perfect setting to ignite an exciting career in hospitality. A short 2 hour drive along the scenic Sea to Sky Highway, Whistler welcomes a unique collection of adventure-seekers, families and outdoor enthusiasts each year to explore all that Whistler has to offer.

A sunny mountain paradise.

A true winter wonderland.

“The company and myself are upholding the same values – Respect, Integrity, Teamwork and Empowerment. For me it’s not just a hotel company, it’s a community where people around the world with diverse colors and languages are able to showcase their uniqueness and be themselves. With different talents and skills working together to build the Fairmont brand, to make it well known, trusted and loved, I say that I’m proud to be a part of the team.”

Colleague Committees & Programs

Diversity & Inclusion Committee

Our goal is to make you feel at home. We believe that what you celebrate, share and value outside of the workplace is equally as important to be celebrated in the workplace. We are thrilled to continue our engaging conversations on how we can create and share a culture of inclusivity.

Our mission statement: “We believe there is strength in unity, and power in diversity. What that means is a culture of inclusion that welcomes everyone from different experiences, regardless of race, gender or background.”

Heartist Recognition Committee

The Heartist Recognition Committee meets monthly for colleagues and leaders to nominate their peers for their outstanding efforts. Hotel-wide engagement and excitement is driven through our monthly celebrations, rewarding those being recognized and those who have taken the time to recognize others. Getting our Heartists together to celebrate milestones and memorable events makes the Heartist committee fun to be on as a member as well!

Planet 21
Committee

With Planet 21, Fairmont Chateau Whistler aims to provide a positive hospitality experience. The Planet 21 programme demonstrates our ambitious goals for our continued fight against climate change. As a group we help set up and continue our recycling program, education for colleagues and guests and fun eco outings like pitch in day, adopt a trail and shoreline clean ups.

We also partner with innovative companies like Soap for Hope, Plant for the Planet, Ocean Wise Seafood, Ocean Wise Plastic Reduction Program and Sea to Sky Soils. We have received 5 Green Keys form Green Keys Hotels, Accor's Platinum level eco rating, and have been a finalist in the Whistler Excellence Awards Sustainability in Action Award.

Health & Safety Committee

Your safety is our number one priority! Our dedicated Occupational Health & Safety Committee, formed of your peers and leaders, meets monthly to discuss all things Health & Safety. Our tasks include new colleague safety orientations, workplace inspections, investigating accidents, promoting our monthly safety topics, and keeping your departmental Health & Safety board up-to-date!

Our mission is to protect you against work-related injuries and illness through on-going education, training, and communication
